The Phone Code for this property is: 14931. Please quote this number when phoning or texting.

Really cheap investment opportunity. Any reasonable offer will be considered. Owners desperate to sell. Council valuation of the land is $37500.00

Brilliantly located solid and well built 2 bedroom home, close to shops, hospital and school situated only 2.5klms from town centre.

Open plan air conditioned kitchen/dining/lounge room. New carpet and vinyl flooring installed July 2016. New air conditioner installed Nov 2015. Good sized bathroom with a separate toilet.
New hot water system 2018.

The freehold block is over 1000 square metres in size and is fully fenced with lovely scenic views to the north. The property is situated on a corner block .There is an enclosed outdoor area and storage shed at the rear of the house with direct walk through access to the undercover parking area. There is plenty of room for additional buildings on the block.

Mining and exploration in the area is about to boom. Huge Texan mining giant Tri-Star petroleum are drilling for gas at the moment at Coober Pedy. The local council has approved further exploration recently. C U River Mining Australia are currently mining iron ore 50klms from town and the FIFO workers have a live in camp right in the centre of Coober Pedy. This mine also employs a large number of locals. The gold/copper mine 100klm's down the road is still operating and also employing a number of locals.

Tourism in the town is a major factor with the 3 caravan parks and numerous motels/B & B's always booked out for 9 months of the year. Opal mining plays an important part in drawing the tourists into town and is still employing locals. Most people in town are involved in the opal mining industry in some way.

Coober Pedy is also a major hub for government workers (hospital, mines department, TAFE, school, police, Housing SA to name a few). Yearly costs are minimal (rates $650- p/a, emergency services levy $60- p/a).
The property had previously been rented out at $100- per week. The recent long term tenant decided to leave for personal reasons. The property is recently vacant and in a very clean and neat condition.
The owners are unfortunately only selling because of personal property settlements and interstate moves.
