Our sale with ForSaleByOwner.com.au was nothing but positive! We listed on the Monday, had our first offer on the Friday, a home-open on the Saturday where 21 interested parties attended, four offers were submitted, and we accepted an offer above the asking price.
Many of the people attending the home open said they were pleased they wouldn’t be paying a higher price to compensate us for a real estate agent’s fee. All of the people at the home-open said they liked that they could speak directly to the home owner and get real answers, instead of real estate agent answers. People also remarked that they didn’t feel we were going to string them a line to get a higher offer, which is an experience they’d had with real estate agents.
The next time I sell, I will use this method. I have already recommended the site to friends (some of whom were sceptical until we sold!) and will continue to do so. The online support and the fast turn-around time for the listing, updates, for-sale board delivery and starter pack was truly impressive and greatly aided our rapid sale.
