Preparing The Paperwork
Before putting your property on the market, there are a number of documents you will need to have prepared.
For any legal documents, it is always strongly suggested that you seek legal advice from your lawyer or conveyancer to prepare these documents on your behalf.
They will know what form the documents and contracts of sale need to be in and will advise you accordingly.
Remember in any event you will have to have a legal representative do the conveyancing and most conveyancers will include whatever documents you require in their conveyancing fee.
Information Brochures
It’s a great idea to prepare brochures or flyers in several different formats when marketing your home. After listing your property with us, we will prepare and send you print-ready brochures, which you can then give to people at your ‘Open For Inspection’.
Other legal documentation
As this information varies from state to state we recommend you contact a conveyancer to prepare the documentation upfront.
Once you have a buyer who is ready to purchaser it’s too late to get the conveyancer involved as this process can take a few weeks and the buyer may cool off. Get the documentation sorted out as soon as possible so that you are ready to engage a buyer when they are ready to make an offer.
You need to have this part ready before the first buyer comes to view!
